Padmanabhaswami Temple

Trivandrum Padmanabhaswamy Temple

The Padmanabhaswami Temple has many interesting sculptures. The Padmanabha swamy temple architecture is a perfect combination of the Kerala and Dravidan styles. The Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The other interesting tourist attractions include the temple pond and the traditional Kerala style buildings surrounding the temple. Like most other temples in Kerala, only hindus are allowed inside the temple. The Padmanabhaswamy temple festival in the first two weeks of October, every year is a grand event in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Padmanabhaswami temple is near the Trivandrum East Fort city bus stand. The fort wall encloses the older parts of the city including the temple.
