Calicut Beach is one of the major tourist favourite location in Kerala South India. There is a park, and a lighthouse in the area. The two piers extending well into the sea were built in the 1870's. Calicut Beach provides a good place to watch dolphins' playing in the sea close to shore, the best time to watch is early mornings. There are good ice cream parlours and snack bars in the area. The distance to reach Calicut Beach is 11 kms from Kozhikode.
