Though Finland is a very expensive place to shop there are things that one MUST buy in Finland. Those are Marimekko crafts, Reindeers skin and bone crafts, different types of semiprecious stones (Finland is rich in natural resources like Amethyst, quartz etc), Yoik Music (Yoik is the traditional music of the Sami people) and Finnish Glass. Finnish handicrafts, furniture, glassware, jewelry, handwoven ryijy rugs, porcelain, furs, ceramics and textiles are the main shopping Finnish specialties. There are many excellent supermarkets and self-service shops in Finland.
